Research Question: how do we weave loss into the narrative of our lives? Talcott Falls is a unique opportunity for study, as it has well documented periodic depopulation events. Through an emic investigation, I will develop a case study of the residents in Talcott Falls. This work will examine their unique outlook in juxtaposition to current beliefs about loss and community.
